Description
The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theater is rightfully considered one of Moscow's leading theaters and is located in the city's historic center. It was founded by the outstanding stage reformers Konstantin Stanislavsky and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko. From its earliest years, the theater established itself as a venue for artistic experimentation and high professional standards, a focus that has remained strong to this day.
The theater building is an 18th-century architectural monument that previously served as the main building of the Saltykov estate. Following a large-scale renovation, this historic space was transformed into a modern theater complex. Today, it comprises three stages: the spacious Main Stage with a hall that seats over a thousand spectators, the cozy Small Stage with 200 seats, and the Music Room. All venues are equipped with modern stage and lighting equipment, which opens up ample opportunities for the realization of complex artistic concepts.
The theater's repertoire covers a wide range of genres, from opera and operetta to classical ballet and experimental choreography. Significant attention is paid to contemporary music and original productions. The opera company is directed by Alexander Titel, and the ballet direction is supervised by Maxim Sevagin.
Audiences can familiarize themselves with the playbill and schedule of performances in advance, and also purchase tickets for performances of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theater on our website. The theater is open to a wide audience, from fans of the classical stage to those interested in contemporary forms of theatrical art.
