June 6 marks the 224th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding writer and poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. His work not only brought significant changes to the Russian language and literature, but also had a huge impact on the development of Russian culture as a whole.
In 2009, in honor of Pushkin's 210th birthday, Boris Eifman presented his choreographic interpretation of the immortal novel in verse, "Eugene Onegin." In this production, he boldly combines classical and modern aesthetics, combining the works of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and the rock music of composer Alexander Sitkovetsky.
The plastic embodiment of the novel can be seen on July 17 and 18 on the stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater, and on July 27 - on the Historical Stage of the Bolshoi theater.
