The Alexandrinsky Theatre will host the ballet "Beyond Sin"
The ballet "Beyond Sin" will be shown on the stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre.
The ballet "Beyond Sin" is a new plastic interpretation by the choreographer of the novel by F. M. Dostoevsky "The Brothers Karamazov". Having radically reworked his own 1995 production of The Karamazovs, also based on the immortal work of Russian literature and which gained worldwide recognition, Boris Eifman created an emotionally and intellectually rich ballet psychodrama.
The ballet "On the Other Side of Sin" has become a modern stage production in technical and artistic-expressive terms, which raises eternal questions. In the conditions of the total value crisis of the early 21st century, the choreographer turned to unshakable moral principles and composed a ballet about the struggle against God and the search for God, unbelief and faith, the nature of human sinfulness and spiritual salvation.
