Concert-performance at Zaryadye: Petr Dranga and Boris Eifman combine music and dance
On February 2, the Zaryadye Concert Hall will host a long-awaited concert-performance created in collaboration between maestro Petr Dranga and the outstanding choreographer Boris Eifman. The event promises to be a significant cultural event, uniting music and dance in a unique synthesis.
The first part will introduce audiences to a musical interpretation of Gabriel García Márquez's novel "One Hundred Years of Solitude." Composer Petr Dranga will present his vision of the work through the prism of a symphony orchestra, while Sergei Sotnikov's libretto will allow for a deeper insight into the philosophical and emotional layers of the original.
The second half will feature the ballet "My Jerusalem," choreographed by Boris Eifman. Students of the Boris Eifman Dance Academy and soloists from his theater will present a choreographic poem inspired by the music of Mozart, Rachmaninoff, and Glass, as well as ethnic and techno sounds.
The sets for the performance were created by Vyacheslav Okunev, the costumes by Olga Shaishmelashvili, and the lighting design by Boris Eifman himself. This evening will be a true journey into the world of spiritual wisdom and cultural diversity.
The Zaryadye Concert Hall is a modern venue with excellent acoustics and comfortable conditions for the audience. This is the perfect venue for such large-scale events.
